Question:

we are considering a consumer proposal, i am wondering what happens with secured debt for example car loan. the rest of our debt is unsecured.

Answer:

Secured debt is not affected by the proposal and generally you would continue to make payments. In the event the asset was worth far less than the debt we could place terms in the proposal to contact that.
